The SWF Tools interface is as simple as a navigation tree with five top level nodes: Files, Properties, Actions, Frames and Event Handlers.

Files is the top node and includes the Read/Write button which opens a file selection dialog with all the directories in which the SWF file is stored.

On occasion, an artist will design an animated scene in Flash and then export the scene as a SWF file. When you try to use the SWF in a browser, you will most often get a message that says the SWF failed to load. The SWF was designed to be run inside of Flash, but the user has chosen to use a browser. The SWF file contains frames in the animation, but there are only a few frames. If you view the SWF in a browser, the animation will stop after a few seconds, and the user will see a blank screen. If the SWF contains only a few frames and the user has not loaded in the frames into a browser, the user will get nothing. This can be very annoying to the user.

The Frame Jumper will allow the artist to export the animation as a SWF file with the frames they have designed. But, it will allow the user to load the frames into a browser and view the animation. The Frame Jumper can work in both the ActionScript 3 and ActionScript 2 versions of Flash. When you add a Frame Jumper to an animation, it will add a start and end frame of the animation. By clicking the Start button, the user can start adding frames to the animation. The Stop button will stop adding the frames to the animation. At the bottom of the Frame Jumper, the user can click the Export button to make the Frame Jumper save the animation as a SWF file.

The user can double click the Frame Jumper to start adding frames to the animation. The user can type in the frame number they would like to add in the Frame Number box.
