I’m going to be building an addon project to turn a commercial app into a webapp, and it seems to be going fairly well. The addon project has a list of projects it needs to build and run on a web server (which will only be able to run.NET 4.5 in Server 2008 R2). The webapp needs to reference several different assemblies – some that it will use in-process, others that it won’t – which are all in.NET 4.0 on the production web server.
The idea is that the addon project can build on a development machine, and then copy the assemblies needed to the production web server.
I’ve had a couple of questions about the correct way to do this.
